Fabulous Heavyweights
The Fabulous Heavyweights -If you're a blues fan, you've
probably heard of Texas Blues and Chicago Blues, but what about East Coast Blues?
For a demonstration try Ed Vadas' Fabulous Heavyweights. East Coast Blues is
kind of an amalgam of all the other blues styles, and even other music styles. East
Coast Blues means Ed can play a Texas blues song in a Chicago blues style with his own
words. Think of the East Coast as being kind of a melting pot with so many diverse
cultures, it's that rubbing off of all the different types of music. Ed has played
200 shows a year for the past 25 years shows no sign of slowing down. The long list
of musicians they have worked with includes B.B. King, Koko Taylor, Otis Rush and Bo
Diddley.
