The Resolution Jazz Group was founded in 1994 by pianist Darius Scott and combines the diverse experiences of some of Maryland's finest musicians to produce a unique musical presentation. The groups focus is straight ahead jazz covering the music of composers like Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter, Bill Evans, John Coltrane and Herbie Hancock and they often perform their own compositions and arrangements of jazz standards. Whether the venue is a nightclub, a coffeehouse or a private party, The Resolution Jazz Group creates an uplifting mood and grabs the audience through the music.
